- FIRE stands for Financial Independence, Retire Early. It's a movement focused on extreme savings and investment to achieve financial freedom earlier than traditional retirement age.
- How does the 4% rule work?
- The 4% rule suggests you can safely withdraw 4% of your investment portfolio annually in retirement. Fire Path uses this rule to calculate your FIRE number (25× your annual expenses).
- What are the different FIRE modes?
- Fire Path supports 6 modes: Regular FIRE (standard 25× expenses), Lean FIRE (minimalist lifestyle), Fat FIRE (luxury lifestyle), Barista FIRE (part-time work), Coast FIRE (let investments grow), and Passive Income (income-focused).
- Is my financial data secure?
- Yes. Your data is stored locally on your device first (offline-first design). If you sign in, data syncs securely to the cloud with end-to-end encryption. You can also use the app anonymously without any account.
- Which currencies are supported?
- Fire Path supports 9 currencies: TWD, USD, HKD, SGD, GBP, AUD, CAD, MOP, and MYR. Each currency displays with proper regional formatting.
- How do I sync data across devices?
- Sign in with Apple or Google to enable cloud sync. Your data will automatically sync across all your devices. The app works offline and syncs when you're back online.
